Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, the 2.7-liter Turbo High-Output engine makes 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. The lineup can tow a maximum of 9,400 pounds when you need it. It comes standard on the Pro, SLE< and Elevation trim levels.

5.3-liter V8

The 5.3-liter V8 is capable of 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. The lineup pairs with a 10-speed automatic transmission, allowing you to tow up to 11,200 pounds when properly equipped. The powertrain comes standard on the SLT and is available for SLE, Pro, and Elevation models.

6.2-liter V8

The largest engine in the lineup, the 6.2-liter V8 comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission and delivers 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The engine features Dynamic Fuel Management and is available for the SLT trim.

3.0-liter Duramax Turbo Diesel

A powerful and efficient engine option, the Turbo Diesel mates to a 10-speed automatic transmission and provides 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The only diesel engine in the lineup gives you more capability for the GMC Sierra lineup, available on the SLT, Elevation, and SLE trims.
